I mention faith quite a lot in the articles written so far. That is because faith is the cornerstone of every true cure. If people had faith in our creator, a meaning and, on that basis, faith in themselves, then the world would be different. The maximum faith of all those who don’t believe in anything, despite they might have been baptized in some church, is that they believe in themselves, luck or coincidence and nothing more.
By the way, when I use the word faith I don’t refer to the many rabid religious persons who use their religion as means for their egoistic intentions and wanting to be right and judge others and perhaps even to kill others if the proper occasion should arise. I mean a true faith, not an egoistic faith. Those people only use religion as an excuse to let out hate and as a ball gate for egoistic motives. That’s the reason that the concept religion has gotten its bad reputation.
I have experienced quite a few suicides all having one common denominator: Lack of Faith. It might seem to go well for a while. The business seems to go well, yes even for many years. The truth however is that the life situation is founded on sandy ground, not on rock. So if for some reason things start to not go so well, the person gets desperate and fights it and if the defeat seems too big for the ego of that person, he will take to drastic measures such as suicide.
The reason that teenagers in especially some countries choose to end their own live is the same: Lack of faith. Besides they have had fewer years to learn that things are dynamic: Things change and for the better if one believes in it and has patience and acceptance of the present situation. It’s the resistance to the given situation that causes the pain more than the situation itself.
I have personally witnessed people in their forties who cried out the pain pertaining to having suffered since their early childhood due to single events that to them had become traumas, though to other persons it seemed like a walk in the park. These individuals simply had never accepted that event and had linked all kinds of interpretations and implications to it with time.
If a person decides to give attention to one single event which he/she doesn’t accept, then that will cause pain until accepted. However to many the act of accepting is not so simple. That is because the past seems real because it’s part of the egoic illusion of reality. Therefore recalling some simple event as being something unacceptable while impossible to change becomes the source of big suffering since the person can’t seem to escape from the memory.
However no escape is necessary, neither is a heavy consumption of drugs or alcohol. Acceptance of the past and the present situation is the solution as well as recognizing that the present moment is the only thing that exists. The rest are interpreted memories, only kept alive by the brain which is not being used properly at all, despite of its vast posibilities and immense flexibility, which apparently only few people seem to have tapped into. Instead the brain is being misused merely for the purpose of maintaining an illusion of who one is, how important one is and how lousy everybody else is.
It is an egoistic goal that simultaneously sets the limits of ones creativity and focuses only on improving within stupid areas, such as how to fool others into believing that one is important, rather than to aim for higher and more noble objectives. One example that is often reflected on tv is the game of having success with dating. Instead of honesty, big focus is made on appearing to be something, some kind of important identity that the other respects or can benefit from.
The true essence of a person, the true self, the spirit or the soul is of a higher order and untouched by external influences unlike the common belief of today where the brain is in focus as some machine transmitting electric impulses. So the true essence is being highly ignored on a collective level today, since egoism is the used formula for all lifes matters: The ego being an illusion of low intelligence and observance, since the constant defending ones being right, requires one to close the eyes and ignore the truth.
A person of faith would not have to fight so much to be happy and would not despair but by believing in a higher sense would be patient and have faith in the learning process of life and in the benefits of being faithful and loyal to deep values and the laws of the universe. He would be rewarded very quickly, yes already while living. I have observed that all my life.
It’s of course a greyish scale of how intense the resistance to believing in a higher meaning and intelligence is. However the result is black and white. Hence it will not help to say the famous words:” There might be more between heaven and earth than we know”. It’s the same as saying: “Until someone proves that there is a meaning I won’t lift a finger to do anything with a deeper sense.”
So why are there so many atheists or disbelievers? I can understand why there exist diverse opinions as to the nature of the almighty intelligence. A good intention and genuine desire to know what it’s all about is better than refusing to know anything. As long as there is some strong foundation of certainty in the belief to build on.
I have come up with 11 reasons to not having faith in a divine presence which I have encountered again and again when talking with people about it. Actually I also found that in a society that has strong atheistic tendencies, people might speak as with one tongue but if one looks closer and keeps asking deeper questions it will often show that despite of claiming to be atheists there is some doubt and often a lack of having asked themselves basic questions. It’s more of a trend and fear of being locked outside by the other atheists who might be more fundamental in their view.
11 Causes to Lack of Faith
-
Lack of doing an effort to getting to know our creator and a meaning perhaps due to being busy with other superficial things or due to pure laziness or lack of motivation. I would describe it as closing the eyes to the truth instead of observing.
-
Clinging to the outspread belief that science and the superiority of humans must exclude a god, gods or allnature power penetrating and connecting everything including ourselves.
-
Group pressure. Fear of being excluded and unliked by the few people with whom they have some kind of social contact.
-
Society and the medias only basing their views on scientific proof and the unwritten commercial objectives of the same.
-
Sticking to generalizing anti religious arguments such as:
-
“Look at all the trouble in the world and evilness. If there was a god he/she would certainly not have allowed that”.
-
“My mother was perfect and did everything right all these years but anyway she suddenly got sick and died. It’s not fair. That’s when I lost my belief.”
If one looks closer one will realize that the person using such statements has a controlling way of looking at the concept of God, meaning the person wants to control what “God” is comprised of and how things should be in their world. They never have used the objective approach.
-
Having grown up in a strongly religious environment and simultaneously having had bad experiences and perhaps traumas, causing one to vomit in disgust if just hearing the word God.
-
Waiting for something external to convince one before taking any action on that matter.
-
Waiting for scientific proof which will of course never come. It is impossible to use the limited tool science and its self defined methods, in order to “prove” something penetrating everything. First of all the scientific limited way of thinking is far from geared to such a holistic matter. Secondly due to old traditions of science (read pride) there is an outspread resistance to theism under here monotheism, deism, pantheism or polytheism.
-
Not having achieved what one defined as success in ones life. We could talk about a fixation on certain superficial goals including the possession of symbols of power and importance: Cars, real estate, prestige, power and apparent popularity not to mention titles.
The disappointment from failing according to self defined criterias of success causes the ego centered person to reject any postulates of a higher order and meaning, since he automatically concludes that if such a divinity existed, he would automatically inherit some throne or something like that … This is typical of the egoistic way of thinking.
The ego is in fact an illusion created by thoughts and erroneous deducting, a figment. It is highly caused by – and related to the constitution of society and general human way of thinking, inherited in our upbringing and nurtured by humanity for eons. It is highly hostile and defensive in nature.
- Having achieved big success in life. They might conclude: “Why believe in anything that interferes with my life and takes credit for it? I have created the success myself, noone else.”
-
Lack of a father figure or brainwashing from childhood by parents and others using self flattering thoughts about being parents and “creators” of their children. It’s the same people who often are not even capable of simple things such as to explain their children what to do and what not to do and thus serving their children to the russian roulette of society and “coincidence”.
It’s simply hippocracy and lack of responsibility though they might be copying their own parents. Often the same people who never took that responsibility are very likely accusing God or turning their back on our creator in case things don’t turn out well. If they had taken serious responsibility instead of using their role as parents for self heightening purposes and to look good in the eyes of others, they would have created another future and one of faith and thus better choices and less trouble. They and not least their children would have had a safer and happier life.
The thing is that refraining from believing in anything is actually an active choice which will exclude one from harvesting the fruits of the good power from which the world was created.
The thing is that the egoistic self worshiping approach which is so widespread in the world today, is an obstacle to knowing the deeper truth since it’s always about oneself and what fits into that small illusion which one has created.
One might believe that one knows what’s worth knowing since that must be equal to knowing the world well and copying the public views presented through and generalized by the medias who took an oath to be objective. If what is served as news is the definition of objectivity then I think there is a need for inventing another word with honesty, truth and altruism as implicit values.
For if there is one thing that humans in todays world is not capable of, it is to be objective. First of all they mostly have had no contact with the wisdom of understanding what that implies and why being objective and honest matters, since those are usually just considered to be heavy moral ideas, obstacles to being competitive.
Secondly they are too busy with their own egoistic motives.
But of course there are some exceptions. I talk about the general lines of society. A few rather objective people won’t tip the iceberg of which 90 % is under the surface, with the iceberg being the general tendency. Also there is a market and need for news which was already established and which media would undermine their own territory by suddenly following new and basic values? No, the medias live from readers and viewers, not from serving the truth. Also the medias are being used for propaganda and political warfare.
Furthermore I believe that the thing about medias is much like the case with politics and other bureaucratic instances:
To all bureaucratic institutions of power applies that you only get in if you get into it and carry on what was started. In reality this means that there are hardly ever any radical changes taking place. It is brainwashing on a high level or regimentation with the result being a society build on ineffective tinkering. This lack of flexibility and thus results owes to the prevailing egoistic way of thinking implying a lack of deep intelligence. – How to Be Happy Quotes
I don’t preach or make mission for any religious group here. My opinions are my own.
Since faith is the cornerstone of all powerful movement and creation I advice anybody to open their heart to a higher truth and meaning.
It’s in fact the closing of the heart and the egoistic way of living that cause all the problems.
It’s not religions or the wanting to know God that is the root to the misery of the world, despite kings and people wanting power frequently have used religion as an instrument and argument for their right to conquer territory in the world.
Look at the crown of kings. It is a crucifix used as a marketing tool by the kings to convince people of their divine right to rule over them. The message was then conveyed in the marketing slogan: “For God, King and Fatherland”.
